Masters Project - VR Training Simulation.
The Idea behind this project came to me while I was working within a warehouse environment back in late 2023. After seeing people being unsafe and not understanding after being trained to do the job my brain began thinking of ways I could break down language barriers and show people how to do the job without compromising company stock and customer satisfaction, as one of the major problems was people packing damaged products or packing them incorrectly so that they could potently get damaged in transit. For my masters project I knew that I wanted to explore something I had never done before so I took on the challenge of Creating a VR training Simulation that contained 2 scenarios, Hazzard Identification and Product Identification. These scenarios could be completed in any order by taking a blue flag and placing it in the scenario start location, each scenarios had an on wall tracking system that would so the progress to completion and how long it took the participant with the product identification having an extra tracker for products in the wrong location allowing a trainer to see the data in real time from watching the computer screen. This project was created in Unreal Engine 5.4 with future plans to improve upon and create new scenarios.
